Whether you’ve run one or all of them, here are some of our memories from over the years:
- In 2010, the one and only Ben Cohoon started this event in his garage and put the event at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course with the help of 14 people. Year 1 had 357 finishers, with the Lasses winning by less than 30 steps.
- 2011 the race was moved to Strategic Air and Space Museum and ran through Mahoney State Park. We have run from SAC and through Mahoney for 13 Years!!
- ALL TIME fastest male and female times were set in 2011
- 2019 – No Chase, just the Green Beer After Party, due to 3+ inches of ice on the race course and subzero temperatures.
- And who remembers 2021 at Walnut Creek?
- 2022 – Everyone Gets A Green Beer and Winner Gets the Coveted Green Jacket
- ALL TIME fastest masters male and female times were set in 2023
- Clay Simpson became the first runner to 3-Peat Leprechaun Chase – 2024 | Shout out to Kayte Partch, Kaci Lickteig, and Peter Falcon for each winning the race 2 times in a row!
- Crystal Kmoch wins for Master Lasses for the 3rd Time in 2024. She holds the most wins by a Master Runner at LC10K. Shout out to Amy McCracken, Theresa Gosnell, Tom Woods, Ryan Regnier and Jay Oligmueller for 2 Master Wins Each!
