This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Market to Market Relay Nebraska presented by OrthoNebraska and we’re gearing up to celebrate in style! Complete with celebratory branding, new website, and maybe most fun of all, a beer can takeover, we’re stoked to blow it out in 2017. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our partnerships with Ervin & Smith and Blue Blood Brewing Co. Read on to see what’s happening…


The Can Takeover

Let’s start with the most fun project! Tipping a few cold ones after the race at the Post-Race Shindig has always been a part of what makes this crazy day into a Market to Market Relay. This year, you’ll be enjoying Kompagnon Kolsch from Blue Blood Brewing Co. with a limited edition M2M Relay can design! We’re holding a contest this weekend to determine the winner from three sweet designs created by Ervin & Smith. The special edition cans will be available for sale in select retailers leading up to the race, in addition to race day!

The 10-Year Branding

Of course, we approached Aaron Christensen at Ervin & Smith about creating a design for the 10-year anniversary logo. Aaron made our original logo so we knew we were in good hands. Those of you who have it tattooed on your bodies have him to thank! Plus, Aaron has captained a team in the relay all 10 years… so he gets it. Aaron and the talented pros at Ervin & Smith didn’t just create a cool logo, they made a whole visual identity. We are excited to reveal how this will show up on this year’s race shirt today. Reflective gold ink will set the whole thing off. We can’t wait to see these shirts running around Nebraska on race day and beyond!


The New Website

Let’s face it, our old website needed a little freshening up. Ok, maybe a lot of freshening up. We wanted a dynamic site that conveyed the fun of the race and made understanding the unique format of the event easy. Again, we turned to our partners at Ervin & Smith… and they knocked it out of the park. Working with the E&S team was fun and educational. “They really dove into understanding our goals and created a site that wasn’t just beautiful, but also a great asset for growing our M2M Relay brand,” says Jared Bakewell, Pink Gorilla Events Marketing Director.
